A 7 session course to explore, heal and awaken your relationship to your authentic natural voice. Discover the fundamentals of a mantra and Kirtan practice including: opening the voice in the body, breath technique, pronunciation and precision in chanting, the physiological effects sound has on the nervous and glandular system, the quantum technology of the Shabd Guru, Mantra meanings and how to use them, plus learn simple chords to lead Kirtan confidently. Honouring sound patterns delivered for humanity by the warrior saint lineage of the Sikh Gurus who used singing the praises of the divine in community as a way to awaken; and song as a radical revolution of soul.

For those who are curious to explore the healing power of their own voice, for those who were told that “they couldn't sing”, Kundalini yoga teachers or teachers from other traditions looking to deepen their sound and mantra practice and who want to be able to lead Mantra practice and Kirtan in their classes confidently, and those who wish to liberate their true voice, heal using the voice, turning strong emotion into passionate devotion.

Sound healing, mantra chanting and singing kirtan are sensuous practices; we use our mouth, our lips, our breath and body and the desire and longing we feel to fully embody our own spirits awakening the bud of our own hearts through the devotion we express with our own voice worshipping in the temple of our own bodies.

This course first encourages you to experiment to become comfortable and intimate with the voice, exploring spontaneous group singing, helping to develop an awareness of how your own voice has an effect on all of the 10 spiritual bodies. Leading to the full blossoming of your soul essence into your vibration so that the voice can be used as a tool for sacred union.
